I love two things about clothes that are often at odds with each other: feeling comfortable and looking pulled together. So when I find clothes in which I can be both comfortable and look pulled together, I feel compelled to share.
J.Jill shared with me their new collection dubbed “The New Easy” and I found some winners. Clothing trends have been turning more casual season after season, but that doesn’t mean you may wear you pajamas when you leave the house. The good news is this collection is so comfy that you will feel like you are in your pajamas, even when you look completely pulled together.
First let me talk about these pants. The Cozy Luxe Knit Pants are soft like pajamas but sturdy enough to get you through your day. I’ve been wearing them since Saturday – don’t judge me. I didn’t sleep in them (though I could have) but I have worn them for three days in a row and the knees haven’t stretched out at all. Now I didn’t wear them eight hours a day for three days in a row; I’m sure they’d get too dirty for that. I wore them for a few hours each day when I was out and about and they will get me through my whole day today.
I cuffed them with my Chucks for this look, but later that day I unrolled them and wore them with black TOMS. I also added a necklace to the sweater. Because I wanted to be fancy.
So yes: this sweater. It’s the Taylor Pullover. Y’all need a couple of quality sweaters in your wardrobe. The difference in my “nice” sweaters and the others is noticeable. For one, this sweater will be with me for seasons to come. The weight of the knit is so soft — I wish I had one in every color. I love the length, too. It’s extremely versatile; I will be pairing it with a button down, skinny jeans or leggings, and tall boots at some point soon.
I should mention the bag. This is J.Jill’s Mini Bucket Bag, which is a perfect size for your wallet, phone, keys, tissues, chapstick — the essentials. It’s super soft leather and was super handy when I went shopping with my girls yesterday and didn’t want to bring the big Mom Bag. They have a beautiful full size version of this bag, too, but I don’t have that one. I shall admire it from afar…
Many thanks to J.Jill for the clothing in this post. I feel put together but am comfortable enough to take care of whatever Mom Challenge may arise… Like my kid running in front of the camera while I try to get pics for a blog post…
