Healthy Snacks from Happy Family Organic Superfoods {Review & Giveaway}

Snacks: Love ’em or hate ’em, I doubt you can live without them.

This is true no matter your age and stage in life, but when you are a mom snacks take on a whole new meaning. Have you ever left the house realizing that you forgot to give your little one(s) a snack first AND you forgot to pack one? The instant dread is palpable because we know the potential public meltdown that is waiting for us. But packing a healthy snack when you are going to be out and about for a few hours is no easy task — especially when you don’t have time to prepare something.

Lucky for us, a mom who had that same problem did something about it. What started as a healthy and organic alternative to existing commercial baby food has grown in to an entire line of products for babies, toddlers, big kids, and adults.

happy family organic
Happy Family has organic meals and snacks for every age, and my family and I have been trying a bunch of them over the last week or so. I first was introduced to Happy Baby products when my baby was a baby (she is three now) and I was searching for something other than Cheerios for her to snack on and to practice that oh-so-important pincer grasp. The Happy Puffs were perfect and became a staple for in our house.
What I was surprised to discover was all of the tasty foods that have been added to the line up since then, including my personal favorite: Coco Orange Mango Happy Squeeze smoothies. My girls like those, too, when I allow them to have mine…
I had actually been buying those already when I got the opportunity to review these snacks for my blog.  For the purpose of this review, I was provided with coupons to get a select group of Happy Family products for free. And because they are awesome, Happy Family is going to provide one of my readers with this package as well:

LOVE my Coco Orange Mango Smoothie. The strawberry is tasty, too.

Um, hello? So tasty. Definitely dessert.

Simply put, my girls loved everything they tried. (Me too!) I wasn’t sure if they’d go for the Greek Yogurt as it’s fruits and veggies mixed with the yogurt. The three year old loved it immediately, the seven year old was mad because she didn’t get the pomegranate one, so there you go.

The Happy Times snacks are individually wrapped so it’s great to just grab and go. The Happy Munchies veggies and fruit crisps are like freeze dried fruit in a resealable bag. We tried the Strawberry and Carrot flavor and I had to stop myself from eating them all because they are just as sweet as ripe strawberries.

The thing you really need to try is the Happy Squeeze Acai, Grape, & Apple. They use a grain called salba that I had never heard of that is gluten-free and packed with nutrients. It’s a great in-between-meal-snack. For ME.

The verdict? I am glad I was able to sample these products at no cost because I found some things we liked that I may not have tried otherwise. I am a label reader and these products check out with me. I will continue to be a paying customer for Happy Family Organic Superfoods.
