Ya’ll ’bout to make me lose my mind.

OK. I’ve had it. Between the dumbasses tweeting they would willfully let Chris Brown beat them, and those tweeting that they don’t know who Paul McCartney is, I give up trying to give stupid people the benefit of the doubt.

I mean, are you freaking kidding me? First of all, are we so far from the feminist movement that women are now begging to be objectionalized, sexualized, trivialized, and BEATEN? Who raised these bimbos? Let’s just say they were joking – he beat the crap out of his girlfriend – that’s OK to joke about?? As a woman and the mother of two girls, this is beyond disturbing. We are an inch away from a reality show called “The Biggest HoBag” – the winner of which receives a lifetime supply of condoms, which she refuses because the take away her freedom. Ain’t nobody gonna tell her what to do! The condoms are probably from the damn government anyway! (She also receives a personal tutor to help her complete her GED, but refuses because she doesn’t want to be NERD.)

And, holy crap, who does not know who Paul McCartney is? I mean a good chunk of popular music today sucks, but for real? This is what cutting funding for the arts does! These kids today (get off my lawn, dammit) want music from some digital mouse head thing, but don’t know who Paul McCartney and The Beach Boys are. This offends me to my core.

Dave Grohl is so freaking awesome (nearly as awesome as Eddie Vedder) and gave a great speech when The Foo Fighters received the Grammy for Best Rock Performance last night. He said:

To me this award means a lot because it shows that the human element of music is what’s important. Singing into a microphone and learning to play an instrument and learning to do your craft, that’s the most important thing for people to do… It’s not about being perfect, it’s not about sounding absolutely correct, it’s not about what goes on in a computer. It’s about what goes on in here [your heart] and what goes on in here [your head].”

Damn I love me some Dave Grohl. I swear to you, I clapped in my living room. Dance music and electronica have their place for sure, but they would not even exist if it weren’t for The Beach Boys and The Beatles! How do people not know this???

It all comes down to parenting and education, doesn’t it? If we don’t step it up, people, this country (and then the world) is just going to be a bunch of dumb whores listening to bad music, who don’t care that they are dumb, or whores, or that the music is bad. And that’s just sad.
